It was definately the pinnacle of Map Creation at the time, and most of the best maps ever created was created around the same time, it was a good year to play Dark Reign. The entire trip seemed to have been in vain! With all forces withdrawn back to Teron, the final preparations were made for the battle. This was to be the Freedom Guard’s last stand against the almighty Imperium. 3 Days Later. With Teron virtually surrounded, the Black Armada fleet Commander, Gregor Trilkin, issued the command for a massive assault on the main city of Teron… It was the largest battle in the history of mankind and both sides fought with vigorous avengeance. Trilkin ordered most of the army to attack the side of the city, diverting attention so that a large squadron of Cyclones could attack the Orbital Defense Matrix… The battle ended swiftly and decisively with the destruction of the Matrix. All Imperium forces immediately evacuated the planet, leaving the people of Teron in a state of panic. Both sides lost huge amounts of their fleets, including the Freedom Guard, which lost many of its transport ships. As a last ditch attempt Synod Officials ordered any remaining ships to secretly evacuate the planet. They would travel to the Freedom Guard's most well kept secret of all, a small weapons research base on the planet Vorash, some light years away. The ships were to carry the cure for the Mark and the new Xenite technologies. With the Orbital Defense Matrix destroyed and the Imperium's army evacuated, Trilkin gave the order to launch the most destructive device of all, the Desiccator. The Freedom Guard transport vessels escaped just in time to see the planet be consumed by the Desiccator's fiery annihilation. The Transport ships then set a course for the Research planet and hyper-launched. Immediately after, a cloaked Imperium Destroyer observing the dark side of the planet relayed to the fleet Command the jump co-ordinates of the escaping ships. The ships reached Vorash within the hour to find that they had been followed by the remaining Black Armada fleet! With no time to lose, they landed on the planet, set up a base and selected the two best commanders available. With help from the weapons research centres, the commanders would utilise the latest buildings and military weaponry to date. This battle would now determine the fate of the Freedom Guard for all time.

It also requires some intelligence, and a bit of quick thinking. I can guarantee, with absolute certainty you will not win this mission the first time you play it as there are a number of little surprises you will encounter. However if you do as the messages say and don't waste time you will have a good chance of winning. You should know by now that there are Underground Rivers in the missions. Hover your mouse over the resource, and if it says U.River then: put 2 water pads on them and about 3-4 freighters. If you don't do this, you will lose. The map is a two player co-operative mission. It is rigged to be almost impossible to win without the second player. Make sure your ally has the map installed as well. It will not transfer in Dark Reign as it is too big. If they don't have the map, send them to our website at: http://dr-mission-series.7p.com. Its in the downloads section, with a super easy installation guide. Tell them, downloading this map is the best thing they can do for themselves, and that they will get a lot of enjoyment from playing it. :) Heres a little help for people who don't know how to find the Extra Info file. Search your computer for where you installed Dark Reign. In the 'Dark Reign' folder you will see lots of files and other junk. Open up the 'dark' folder, then the 'scenario' folder, then the 'mission' folder, then the 'Threat' folder. Now find a file in there that looks like a webpage. Open it and read it!! Just so you know, this will not take you to a website. If you have won The Final Frontier and this map, you can call yourself an expert! If you do win it however, send us a screenshot of your victory and we will put you, and your ally on the expert list at our site. Send it with the comms menu open, and take it when the credits are rolling down. Its advisable not to smurf. To take a screenshot, press 'print screen'. Then, in your Dark Reign folder you will see an image file with a weird filename. Rename it for our sake and send the file to my email address: powastryker@icqmail.com Have fun and enjoy the map. Please send comments etc, we like getting them. - But make them polite and if you must criticise the map, please use constructive criticism. Its much nicer and it doesn't hack us off. Remember, you probably can't do any better.
